Black-Woman: and other stories, a twelve story collection, provides a glimpse into the lives of various black Americans as they navigate such issues as loneliness, adulthood, and desire. Told from a variety of perspectives and backgrounds, the collection utilizes themes of “us vs. them” and “innocence vs. experience” in an effort to dismantle preconceived notions, and highlight the diversity within “blackness.”en_US
