    DRINX
(MASEM, The University of Tampa, 2022-08) Sweetman, Alexa; Gregg Perkins; Ryan McCullough
People can see all the happy hour specials in their area. Within the app, there will be a slider to adjust the radius that the consumer is willing to travel for their happy hour plans. There will be pins on each location that the user can click to see what the deals are. When the pin is clicked, it will be enlarged to show more details about the location. Within these details there will be: Business hours of operation, Happy Hour Times, as well as how many “Drinxsters” are currently at that particular establishment. This feature is to help the user gauge how many patrons are there to help them decide whether that is the place they would like to go, as some people prefer less populated spots and others enjoy busy spots (although this will not give the user an EXACT measurement because maybe not everyone who is there uses the app, it will still allow for a rough estimate). In Addition, it will have a timer that will count down the hours, minutes, and seconds that the special lasts for (could include days for establishments that do week long, weekend long, entire day long specials). At the bottom of the enlarged pin, there will be a link that says “more,” which Drinx users can click to go to the business’ page where the business can post their Happy Hour Menu as well as any other promotional items that they please. While I thought of this app for happy hours, it can also be utilized for establishments that do brunch (i.e. Bottomless Mimosas, or other endless drink specials). The timer would come in handy here so that patrons know exactly when the time ends. The App would need to use GPS tracking, Google Maps or Mapbox to track the patrons and be able to allow them to use the radius slider to determine their options. Drinx will also allow users to have their own distinct profile to use while online.

This capstone project created an interactive website for the University of Tampa Film, Animation, and New Media (FMX) department focusing on animation. The goal of the website was to attract recruits into the animation program by highlighting the types of animations and tools potential students will use. Visitors to the site can select from various pages which contain examples of animations as well descriptions and links to the software. The site was created through compiling animations generated in Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D, Toonboom Harmony, and Adobe After Effects. The platform used to generate the site was Wix. The site features links to the software utilized as well as links to the FMX department, social media platforms that represent the University of Tampa, and an interactive blog space to communicate with Alumni of the program. This website provides a clear and easily navigated to depiction of FMX program and allows for interaction with relevant material and personnel as well as YouTube.
