    Twice Upon a Place - Parque Amigos de Jose Marti

    In advocating for Cuban independence from Spanish colonial rule, Jose Marti formulated a transnational Cuban identity. Taking from this notion, the Cuban exile and diaspora community engage in place-making practices to establish Cuban places outside of Cuba. The Parque Amigos de Jose Marti is a site where transnational Cuban identity is (re)constituted and can be understood by visitors.
