(1992-2015) became Respond, starting with the 2016 issue. Respondez! is a poem written by Walt Whitman in 1871 as a call to action. The Respond staff interprets Whitman’s poem as a call for new, emerging ideas to be brought fourth and challenged. The journal embodies Walt Whitman’s poem by aiming to publish informative research that challenges mainstream assumptions.Feature: The Art and Science of Homeopathic Medicinealso inside: Jamaica Kincaid: From the Inside to the Outside - Antigua and the United StatesLetter from the Editor:Dear Reader,This issue of Respondez! will be my last as your Editor. In spite of the difficulty I encountered in obtaining submissions, and all the other set backs that Respondez! has faced, I have enjoyed serving as your Editor for the past three years. My dream is to see Respondez! eventually become one of the best publications of its kind, and include entries from other universities and high schools. Moreover, I hope that Respondez! continue to include essays that challenge the status quot and not become just another watered-down publication.I would especially like to thank my Lay-out Editor Karen Lynch for her untiring dedication to Respondez!; without her this publication may not have been possible. My special thanks also go out to the other staff members, especially Patty Smith and Ruth Jordan; and to my devoted friend and room-mate Lia Puspa who is responsible for the illustration on the cover page.To my May '95 graduating class, I wish you the best in your endeavors. Remember, when the road seems too long to travel (and it sometimes will be) hang in there and don't be afraid to take chances!en-USThe University of TampaUniversity of Tampa Honors ProgramJournalRespondez!
