These writings are published annually by the University of Tampa's Saunders Writing Center. The staff of the Saunders Writing Center collects works during the fall and spring semesters from First Year Writing students. The published entries are directly chosen by the tutors during a blind review. Using a rubric, essays are judged on mechanics, style, and content. After gathering the top selections, the submissions are reviewed once again with a strong attention to detail and content.
