These independent research projects can be a thesis or a capstone. Capstone projects are typical for students studying public administration, liberal arts, professional communication, etc. Unlike a thesis, capstone projects are more practical for students who are going into careers that utilize real-world experiences while also applying concepts and theories learned within their master's program. This project will discuss the purposes and benefits of a capstone project academically and professionally, the different practices universities use when assigning a capstone project to students, and suggest a website for the Master of Arts in Professional Communication at the University of Tampa to use to assist future and current students.en-USEducationPortfolioWebsiteCapstone project analysisCapstone Inception: An examination of the purposes, benefits, and different institutional practicesCapstone project
