dc.description.abstract Black-Woman: and other stories, a twelve story collection, provides a glimpse into the lives of various black Americans as they navigate such issues as loneliness, adulthood, and desire. Told from a variety of perspectives and backgrounds, the collection utilizes themes of “us vs. them” and “innocence vs. experience” in an effort to dismantle preconceived notions, and highlight the diversity within “blackness.” en_US
